Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along
Sunday, February 7, 2010
Congratulations to Mary Lynn for winning the Moda The Caroler layer cake.
I will get it in the mail to you early next week!
Today I finished another seven (7) pillow cases for a total of 42 finished! I also sew the blocks together for this black/white quilt top for DH. In addition, I also finished a very simple baby quilt my mother had requested for a friend's first grandchild. The baby quilt is a very simple stripped quilt made from a Moda Scrapbag of Birdie fabrics!

A little bit of a giveaway!
It seems like forever since I have posted on my blog. Please forgive me, but work is insanely busy, and I have not had much of an opportunity to sew, read blogs, or even honor this one. My sewn pillowcase count is at 30 and hopefully on Sunday, I can get another dozen sewn together.
I am having a giveaway of this beautiful Moda The Caroler layer cake by Mary Englebreit. All you need to do is leave me a comment describing your quilting charitable goals for this year. My primary goal is these 100 pillowcases, three more quilts for Quilts For Kids , and a several more for Project Linus.
I love thes fabrics in this layer cake. You can use this layer cake along with 2 yards of background fabric will make a very nice lap size log cabin quilt. The tutorial for the log cabin is on the left side of this blog. Remember if you don't have a blog with your email, or you don't leave me an email, your name will not be put into the drawing. I will draw the name on Sunday before the Super Bowl!

More Log Cabin Blocks
Sunday evening, after visiting with my parents and the newlyweds, I finished the last of my log cabin blocks. I then sewed them together into my second quilt of the year. I have decided that all my 2010 tops will be quilted the weekend after I finish them. I will also start quilting one quilt a week from the tops hanging in the closet, all 15 of them!
I currently do not have any other tops started, but I do have those four (4) layer cakes that I am dying to open. I am thinking about a large pinwheel quilt...hmmmm we will see!
